| What
makes Flamingo's videos different from other company's videos? |
|
Unlike many
of our competitors, Flamingo's videos contain only ALL-REAL wrestling action.
This means that the videos are not scripted or staged. All holds and submissions
are gained only through the skill, strength, and stamina of the competitors.
Consequently, we never know in advance who will the match. |
| How
do the opponents get selected to be in Flamingo's wrestling matches? |
|
Female competitors
for the match are selected based on their wrestling ability, physical strength,
and beauty. All female competitors are carefully screened to ensure that
only the most powerful, skillful, and sexy women compete in our matches.
All female competitors are interviewed with respect to their former fighting
experience and required to do a "try out" with a skilled wrestler so they
may be evaluated. Male opponents are selected based on how well they represent
an average male from the general population in terms of body size, wrestling
ability, and physical strength. Deciding who is to wrestle who is determined
by how well an individual has performed in the past and skill level. |
| Everybody
knows men tend to have more upper body strength than women so why do the
women seem to always win in the mixed matches? |
|
Winning a wrestling
match is not simply a question of who is stronger, but one of skill. The
closer two opponents are in skill the more important strength becomes. Our
females competitors, as you recall, are highly skilled wrestlers. Furthermore,
although women tend to have less upper body strength their legs are pound
for pound as strong as a man's legs. Since the women chosen for our matches
are usually above average in terms of strength and size you end up with
women who often have stronger legs than the men and similar upper body strength.
Combine this with their superior fighting skills and you have your answer.
Remember, most people are not skilled fighters and of average strength. |
| Why
do matches seem to vary in their pace? |
|
The pace of
each match varies by several factors. Emotions race, tempers flare, personalities
differ, and events occur. Sometimes the opponents antagonize each other
and the match quickens. Other times opponents get hurt and react in different
ways. Not all wrestlers get along equally well and this is reflected in
the match. Conditions before the match influence how each wrestler performs
as well. The one thing we can assure you, however, is that we do everything
possible to get the matches to be as competitive as possible. |
| What
are the "rules" in Flamingo's wrestling matches? |
|
The rules for
Flamingo's wrestling matches are simple. All holds are allowed in the match.
The match continues until a submission is obtained. A submission is indicated
by the loser either tapping the mat or the victorious person. If a person
is unable to tap because they are stuck in a hold they are allowed to verbally
submit. After a submission is obtained the opponents start over from a standing
position. The victor of the match is whoever scores the most submissions
in the allocated time period, usually about 40 minutes. |
| How
do the opponents begin wrestling and when does it come to an end? |
|
The opponents
begin from a standing position several feet apart (on rare occasions from
their knees) and when they are both ready they are given the signal to begin
wrestling. After a short period, a takedown usually occurs and both opponents
continue grappling until a submission is secured by one opponent. After
a submission is obtained, the wrestlers stand and the process is repeated.
Occasionally, when a submission is obtained the victor of this fall may
decide to do a "partial release". A partial release is when the victor partially
frees their opponent from the hold to give the loser of the fall an opportunity
to escape and obtain the upper hand. If the loser escapes when partially
released it implies that the victor was not completely in control of the
fall. On the other hand, if the victor regains a submission after giving
a partial release it demonstrates more clearly the superiority of the victor. |
